I get the whole thing about smaller nations just being pleased to be there, but the 2 riders from South Sudan rode it at mid 20s kph.

I think I could do it at that speed if I had a good night's sleep and a bowl of pasta in the morning!

It's madness, but I dangerously presume those two riders weren't excluding two talented riders from another country.

While there will be minnows at the men's football world cup finals, denying a strong team from the likes of Europe or South America.

Wow, that's slow, I used to get under the hour as a mid 20's year old TT'er (before kids/married).

So, watching the early starters in the women's TT, and I see some of the African riders are on road bikes, one didn't even have tri-bars on. Just something we should probably think about when we complain in Europe how expensive it is to take a team to Rwanda
Can we complain about how expensive road cycling has become in general? It's a sport for the wealthy now.

Good to see Pog get beat...sure he'll be back and motivated for next Sunday now 😁
But stoked for Remco and his win today...love the self belief and confidence he has...and why not !

Faster than the GB team

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
They are but people seem to be clamouring to buy the latest must have bike/componentry. 13 speed? i need that. 12 speed is holding me back on my Sunday morning 25 mile ride.

People competing at the Worlds justifiably want to use the latest must have kit. You literally must have it if you want to be competitive.

Good but he failed at the TdF on the mountain TT. So he/would have been disappointed had he failed at this one

Yeah, but he clearly wasn't well that day, and he abandoned the day after. There's a bit of symmetry though - yesterday his finish picture had a caught Pog in the background, in the Tour he was the background having been caught by Vingegaard
