GIven the weather 6 years ago Harrogate must have been pretty attritional. After the overnight rain its been sunny day, if only it was then. My overriding memory of the day is MVP blown up crawling up the Otley Road.

10th was @1:10 in Harrogate, 40th place was first over 10 mins back

Just caught up via iPlayer with last 60km. Pogi is The One.

Weird finish coverage on BBC, first 5 over the line then cut away to a top 10 listing. Some time delay in their coverage?

Was that on BBC2 or the live feed on the Iplayer?

So, according to PCS's somewhat arcane profile scoring system, that was the hardest world's parcours since Sallanches in 1980 (20 reps of the Côte de Domancy).

In other news, in 2027 the world's will be held in Sallanches, featuring laps of Côte de Domancy

I blame the french 🥖 they started going for it first lap . ,42kmh

Pffft Pog was doing 43 by himself on the last lap.

Pog could quite conceivably win the next two editions if he can stay motivated (I think the mental side is going to be his biggest challenge outside of JV at the Tour). That said Seixas and Del Toro put in good showings yesterday and could become genuine challengers.

His last two years have been frankly absurd. 3 Grand Tours (with 16 stage wins!), 5 monuments (with a very good chance of a 6th in Lombardia), and 2 World Championships.
