OK, so I missed this... I half saw a shot of Milan by the side of the road, but then didn't really hear what the coms were saying about it and wasn't even sure it was Milan, or whether it was something that happened earlier. And then I check the results and Milan came in 4th, but I didn't notice it was his brother Matteo (FDJ). It was a touch confusing at the time as I kept hearing about Milan but I couldn't see him, and I didn't really know what the leaders jersey looked like....

First delay was announced before they started, because 2 lorries had broken down about 10miles into the route, were blocking the road, and couldn’t be moved in time. Riders were re-routed down a very minor rough road to get past, but this needed organising to block farm tracks etc. Lorries were still stuck 2h later and am baffled as to why both were broken down together.
Second delay was a downstream RTA not involving the race, but maybe involving the closures.
TBH I felt sorry for the organisers, really not their fault. As well as the riders of course, enjoying the first proper day of the Lancashire summer 😀
