Yes it's weird, he was so impressive earlier in the year.

Itzulia Basque Country is such a great race. Always entertaining.

TBH if Paul Seixas (Age 19) doesn't get any better than this he's still going to win a load of races in his career.
If I remember correctly, Lanterne Rouge podcast were saying del Toro crashed last week. Probably shouldn't be racing. He is clearly not at his best. Don't think he could stay with Seixas even at his best.

I don't think he's down to ride the Tour this year, they're trying to keep the pressure off him a bit. Maybe they give him a runout at the Vuelta?

I think he should ride the Tour, but with (privately) no expectations for GC. Then at least it gets some of the hype out of the way and there's no disappointment if (and probably when) he doesn't succeed

Try telling that to an ambitious 19 year old though
