MvdP wins after a 300 metre sprint

WVA injuries and lack of wins did him in. Way too eager to chase down moves. When he chased down Ganna (+Vendrame) after chasing down Christen (if I remember correctly) and MvdP went over the top to close the final meters, it was clear MvdP would keep his momentum and start the sprint early.
MvdP just never makes a mistake in the finale of races. No coincidence he has the amount of big wins, that he does.

Of course, it's also possible WVA doesn't have the shape yet to really compete anyway.
