Suspect it'll be Vingo Bingo this July with Seixas being good enough to challenge for the podium but not the overall.
His main advantage is his age: hopefully he'll be approaching his peak as Pog declines or gets bored.

I don't think he's down to ride the Tour this year, they're trying to keep the pressure off him a bit. Maybe they give him a runout at the Vuelta?

Is this new great French hope the real deal? Or another false dawn?

Feels like the closest to the real deal I've seen since Fignon. He's going to end up under huge pressure though, can he take it or will he decide after a year or two that he wants to be a stage hunter / KOM chaser?

Pinot should of won in 2019

Both Geraint and Bernal were just gearing up when he went out injured, he'd been climbing well but Geraint and Kruijswijk (3rd in Paris) were always ahead on GC and Bernal leapfrogged him before the stage that got cut off where he went out. He was never higher than 4th on GC. The climbing hadn't even been quick enough up to then to shake Alan Philippe out of yellow

Granted it was his best performance ever, but we are still talking about a rider who never won a world tour stage race.

I'm glad Seixas isn't at FDJ. That team was toxic for French riders under Madiot
