Right, it’s the Boonenberg next up….

Florian Vermeesch rides a couple of kms off course, on the footpath, then suffers a puncture.
No sympathy here.

Surprised at the lack of traffic here today. The E3 was always a top chipper on BikeRadar.

It feels like racing lacks surprise these days. You know Remco will win nearly all time trials, Pogacar most races with any kind of limp, Vingegaard stage races that Pogacar isn't in, and MvdP in most races with cobbles. It feels like the gap between those four and everyone else is huge. That's arguably why MSR is still so exciting, because it's one of the few races where the outcome is still really uncertain.

This isn’t over yet. MvdP’s lead is now down to under 30 seconds…
The peloton is also not out of it.
