What I think GB155 is saying is that when he's pushing hard and motoring along on 'flat' he does about 22-24mph but his average speed for the 6.5 mile run is a lot lower.

Ah, right, so I am inacurate as well as petty

Fiar do's if you are keeping that kind of speed up, I was motoring on my borrowed road bike tonight, no speedo so sadly dont know how fast it was, dont know why I even bother, I think its just a good way of seeing if you are progressing.

Mate, note the smiley, nobody offended, I am v e r y difficult to offend and to be honest sometimes people (not in this case) need offending as they don't ever take a look at themselves, I am my own harshest critic.

Hey gb155, thats some impressive speeds for an MTB.

I have to get a new gear set for my MTB. What set do you have? I'm liking the sound of yours - it must be able to take some force having your weight push it and allow you to spin fast.
