23mms on slushy snow?

Depends on how slushy it is and how compacted it is. But yes.
Myself? would I ride in slushy snow? Only if I had no other option. ie I was caught out in it.

That's basically the case. Caught a train to Uni anyway, but will still have a short ride through slushy snow. I'm guessing I just need to reduce everything - less banking through corners, softer breaking, smoother acceleration etc.
Yup, fresh slush should be ok on 23's as the tyres will cut through it. But as you say, just take it easy. And watch out for metal grids and drain covers and painted lines.

You'll struggle. Either get the train or walk the bike. The main roads should be OK though. Alcester Road is in good shape.
All good now. It wasn't too bad, I just had to pick my line carefully and stick to it. I had to go through some pretty decent 1-2 inch snow near the very end, surprisingly I found that easier than the rest of it, guess cause it isn't compacted down by cars. Still felt like riding on train tracks though.
With a bit of luck, it might have melted away by tomorrow.

Mm, I wouldn't want to swerve in the snow anyway. Rather my wheel takes it than my drivetrain if I loose traction and fall.

In the January snow all but two days I was on 23mm tyres but as Ian says
riding over ice/snow/slush is about riding smooth IMO, cruising up to things, not braking hard and reducing leaning; when your not confident the tendency is to lock up and do the opposite.
