Is it any different to riding in the wet, really?

Depends on how slushy it is and how compacted it is. But yes.
Myself? would I ride in slushy snow? Only if I had no other option. ie I was caught out in it.
That's basically the case. Caught a train to Uni anyway, but will still have a short ride through slushy snow. I'm guessing I just need to reduce everything - less banking through corners, softer breaking, smoother acceleration etc.
Wet wet wet
Hit a nasty pothole which I didn't have time to swerve but all is well
riding over ice/snow/slush is about riding smooth IMO, cruising up to things, not braking hard and reducing leaning; when your not confident the tendency is to lock up and do the opposite. If you're not confident...then don't.
