I reckon I could give half away to charity, give a few friends and family a million each to do what they wanted with, and have enough left for a nice enough little house

can't believe there's no mention of cake in your spending plans

I think I would refurb my mountain bike in cycle chat colours ;)

That's a pretty cool idea. White frame with blue and orange highlights, Garmin Slipstream team edition saddle and 705.

I'd make a friends life more comfortable, then I'd stick two fingers up at another 'friend', then I'd party, get a big boat and some flash bikes and have a ****ing good time. Then I'd give the rest to my son and make sur ehe was ok...then I'd get myself a new sim card for my phone

I'd hate for everyone to know. I like my life as it is now, so I reckon I wouldn't change it, but just live in the luxury of knowing I could go into any shop and buy anything I wanted on a whim, rather than having to save up and / or budget.

Was just speaking about that with Mrs Andy this morning. She said she would want to keep it totally quiet, (I agree) but I then said well you couldn't even tell your mother because she would then tell your sister and that would be as good as putting it on as the main headline on the six o' clock news! So it would probably be a lot harder to keep it quiet than we think.
Lots of great philanthropic ideas here! I might keep working, but only part time. I work for a smallish family business so I might buy half of it or more and that would let me introduce some new ideas to it that I currently struggle to do.
I'd "give" some to charities, but as another poster said, I would kind of want to project manage what they were doing with it and see tangible and sustainable results from it.
Nice big house somewhere in Scotland near loads of quiet roads for cycling, also a house in the French Alps so that I could work my butt off on some of these climbs and one day manage to ride up some of these HC routes without my head exploding and making a mess of the surrounding scenery.
Also ensure that my son and daughter are well catered for, again in a managed and sustainable way.
I'd also get my Cannondale resprayed as there are a couple of nicks in the paintwork.....................maybe I'd buy a new one!

Have a few trophy girlfriends to follow me around and provide me with pleasure whenever i like
Hire a personal trainer to get me into shape
Buy a Mansion, speedboat, helicopter and top range Bianchi
fill a swimming pool with moet chandon
Have some pyjamas made from chinchilla fur
Have a huge party with Foo fighters as entertainment
Hire Cavendish to teach me how to sprint

Cake is a given, I think....

I don't think, even if I had a fortune, that buying stuff would be easier. Having been brought up on a budget, any spending is a source of agonised decision making, and I don't think that would change - indeed with more choice, it might get harder!
