For gods sake DO NOT ride from York to Pocklington on the A1079, it’s a shocker of a road with vehicles of all sizes travelling at speed between York & Hull, single carriageway in the main with lots of HGV’s aiming for the industrial estates near Pocklington too, especially tipper trucks

As an aside if the OP does visit York there is lots of places to leave the bikes locked up, and explore on foot, recommend a breakfast at Brew & Brownie for a treat
