2nd Titanium frame failure .

I had a cracked chainstay a few years back - frame was about 11 years old and well out of warrantee. Could have been after an off, or just too many cattle grids - not sure. Noticed the crack somewhere near harringworth so took the last 50km of my journey very easy. Got it repaired by Enigma who did a splendid job and replaced both chainstays. No problems since. Just looked I've got 17966Km on that bike - still n the original bottom bracket too....

Had cracks in AL and steel in the past = wouldn't hesitate to buy another Ti if I needed to....

a fair few tales of titanium failure, . . . a lot of folk rely on guarantees, which might not always be cast iron
