Guinness tour?
Any recommendations of boozers, live music, eats etc?
Anything considered, even if it involves culture:smile:

I know a fantabulous Italian restaurant. All I have to do is remember what it's called...

Bruxelles is a cracking boozer.

The Guinness factory is pretty good, particularly the views from the bar at the top. Avoid 'The Jameson Experience'.

Phoenix Park has some really nice walks.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Despite what they say, Guinness doesn't taste better in Dublin - and the alternatives (Caffreys-alike and lager) aren't worth drinking. Find a bar which sells something else.

Jameson distillery tour is OK and the open top bus tour is never a bad idea in any city (and it'll take you to both the brewery and the distillery).

If you're there for Halloween be prepared for standing room only in the pubs and make sure you have a reservation in any restaurant you're going to!

Temple Bar pub is ok but I preferred the Auld Dubliner down the street. Head for the top floor and there's usually a band on. Across the street is Gallacher's Boxty House which was a decent restaurant when I went in last. (about 2007)

1. Guinness tour is pretty good
2. Kilmainham Gaol tour is excellent. You can book in advance I think to avoid the queues.
3. Tour bus, hop on hop off is very useful
4. John Kavanagh ("The Gravediggers") very traditional pub next to the cemetery. Proper old school boozer

If I were to go back I'd definitely go to John Kavanagh and probably do the Gaol tour again. Both were excellent

Croke Park for all things Gaelic sports.
Kilmainham Gaol, as nickyboy said.
Various themed walks -- literature, food, whiskey, music, independence, etc.
