5 LIVE RIP

I too had a job that allowed me to listen to 5 Live for seven hours a day....I still have that job but have been told I can't listen to the radio in one ear....they insist I listen to the pc fan and my own demons now instead.

That is so poor. I like to listen on one earphone to 5 Live, podcasts, anything as a bit of controlled background noise rather than suffer the distraction of multiple conversations going on at the same time in our open-plan office. I enjoy a bit of conversation as much as anyone, but not all the time.

Makes it a lot easier to concentrate on what I'm doing, for one thing.
