Lol, you're probably right. But the chances of me buying any of those bikes is only slightly above zero.

Didn't know that about Sugar. At least he's honest about it "I understand that there is no justification for average people to go and spend £6,000 for a bike if you can get a nice bit of kit for £1,000"

2 right 2 Pies.
It's not that I have anything against people who own Posh bikes/Pinerello's that cost the same as a small car - just that some (not all) seem devoid of any individuality/character/insert next - Sheep in a herd kinda thing - a bit like supporting the most successful football club instead of your home town team (who might be a bit crap) but are your towns team.
There are lots of people here with very basic sometimes mediocre bikes who are very interesting INDIVIDUALS.
I do like your vote for the Van Nichols Astreus though - Luuurvly bike - but like you - way outta reach.

I had the same issue here when trying out a borrowed stem to get the bike set up right (which ended up in a pic I posted)...you wouldn't believe how some idiots will pick up on something as trivial as this to ridicule and spite....

Not here offten enough to argue

Getting this thread back on track , my list is relatively modest as I've always liked practical bikes over racing types. Even when I was about 8 I used to skip past the racers in the catalogues to the touring section.

So first on the list would be a steel tourer. The Condor Heritage looked very nice when I saw it at the NEC:

For some time now I've wanted a recumbent. I know recumbent bikes are faster, but trikes I think would be better suited to the local mix of terrain, so an Ice Sprint is the one that appeals, although I do occasionally want to go faster so I am also quite tempted by the Vortex.

I loved owning my rickshaw and I really miss the load carrying ability that it had. I'd love to go and buy the thing back but think that something like a Bullitt would be more flexible for where I live (it'll go through narrower gaps and weighs a lot less):

I like to go off road occasionally and it would be quite nice to have something suited to the job. The reputation and the indestructable look of the Orange 5 appeal, but that's way more bike than I'm ever going to need so would settle for something like the Orange Clockwork.

Finally, it would be nice to have something for relaxed pootling round and I'd like the Pashley Parabike for that.

Gotta agree with almost anything made by Condor Rickshaw (& to all) grotty - snotty - ridiculous bikes are most welcome if they float your boat.

I like the look of that Bullitt bike, if you fancy sending one my way I would be more than happy to accept it @Rickshaw Phil

I have a Specialized Allez Sport waiting for me at the LBS, this will be
a) commuting bike
b)weekend bike
c) triathlon bike

Until I want something to go off road with I don't see the point in bike #2 yet...until I see another one I like when the CC is clear
