I know quite a bit about titanium alloys from my work in aerospace industry.
Ti-6Al-4V has been common for a while in machined components, but is much more difficult to draw out into even a plain gauge tube than the regular Ti-3Al-2.5V (and that's not at all easy anyway). I hate to think how hard it must be to make double butted.
Do I want one? You bet.
Can I afford one? No
