Well down on last year, but going to ride in France on 13th, following the TdF so plenty of rides planned there but not up the Alps and Pyrenees although others in my group intend to. I will ride at the bottom and enjoy the scenery and encourage the TdF riders up those cols.
At the moment, only ridings at week ends and not far enough really.

I set a target of 1000 miles for the year so should have done 500 by the end of June but I'm about 50% down on that so I can't see me getting close to it this year but I have cycled further than last year already

So, now we have reached the half-way point, how is everyone doing in terms of their yearly goals?

My mileage target was 15K, and think I'll (barring unforseeen.....) manage that comfortably. ^_^

I don't believe these figures. You cycled 1834 miles in May which has 31 days so for 18 of these 31 days on each day you did a 100 miles ride. Yeah right you did. You should turn Pro. I ride 300-350 miles each week to and from work I am knackered by the end of each week.

It shows 31 days riding though Crankarm. Average speed is just under 18 so that is 3 hours per day.

My thoughts to it are always, so what. It matters little if you do 20,000 or 2000, at 19mph or 12 mph. They are only personal goals.

This is my lowest half year mileage (Kms) since I started saving the info in 2002 but this is all down to having to spend more time moving around to different places as a result of a busy work schedule. I will just carry on and see how it ends up and hope that next year will be better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble but I did. My last day off was 23 Dec 13. Those that follow me on strava, and there are a few on CC, can confirm my daily uploads. Name any dates in May and I'll post a link.
As far turning pro, I think being 51 years old might hinder that.

So you are still maintaining that you did x18 (yes eighteen) 100 mile rides in a month ……………….

What makes you think that?
I rode for 31 days.

So did you ride 1,834 miles in the month of May? So over 31 days this would be 59.2 miles each day 7 days a week with no rest day. Now I ride 60 miles a day with panniers and I don't have the lightest road bike and as I say I am shagged after 5 days so for you to ride for 31 days 60 miles a day with no rest day is a tad optimistic and frankly I don't believe you. I once road 9 days in a row and was exhausted by day 7.

As I said up post I'm happy to post a link for any dates you care to mention.

Im not sure what you mean with this post? You seem surprised that someone could ride further than you do? Yes you do put some mileage in but folk have different abilities you know. I'll have days where I'll commute 100 miles to work and back, weeks of 300 miles plus but my body is far from shagged out as you put it. If I wasn't married with a little lad I'd be on the same mileage as Uclown plus a bit more guaranteed!
Your disbelief just seems a bit harsh.
