I was genuinely gutted to predict a Scotland loss. Then I remembered the abject p!sh I've suffered from us this season and went with the sensible option.

Forgot to make my predictions but I wouldn't have predicted that. At the least I would've expected a close result. Wales were nothing special but the French never showed up.

Wales appeared to have refound some of the magic. They kept Bastaraud quiet, and the lineout move leading to Warburtons try was simply exsquisite. One commentator asked whther the number of foreign players in French teams has led to a derth of quality French players. Discuss.

Ain't that the truth! I think they're the one team the All Blacks genuinely fear. They respect the Springboks and the Aussies, but they know what they're up against. With the French, you just never know what's going to turn up on the day.

Les Bleus all went a bit 70's/80's.

Wales needing to prove something after being made fools of, playing at home on a Friday night with the lid on, after a ten point anthem, get right in the visitors faces from the very off. Playing like men possessed every 50-50 ball/call goes their way. Ref with only 80 mins left in his test career makes one HUGE call after another (all bang on the money in my book), French discipline breaks down, they argue with each other, get all pouty and goodnight Vienna.

^ This. Proper nail-biter. Outstanding game between two well matched sides with a cliff-hangar ending. Glad to have called it wrong if it marks the start of Scottish self-belief.

I'm very glad I was wrong, excellent second half performance from Scotland - now, why the hell can we not play like that every game?
