I can't remember enjoying an afternoon of rugby as good as that for a very long time. I genuinely thought Italy would win, hats off to the Scotts after that second half.

As for England Ireland, I'm quickly running out of superlatives. Launchbury's work in the loose, and two of the best full-backs of all time on the pitch. Wow. David Wilson needs to take the credit for not being thrashed by Healey, as I really thought Cole's loss would hurt us. Good thing for England that Sexton wasn't up to top form for his kicking game, and Jack Nowell may rid himself of his handling bogies and take great credit for his brave runs.

Yep, fantastic stuff. My hands are only just stopping shaking..... The power, commitment, concentration and skill was fantastic, although how we managed to not score a try in the first 10/ 15 minutes I'll never know. It really should have been a comfortable 10 or 12 point lead at half time. Ho hum. Considering how young and inexperienced the England team is, I have high hopes for the next couple of years, especially when some of the injured guys are available again.

The thing that impressed me most about England was the way they tackled: hard, quick and fierce. Ireland were a good team playing at their best, but England just wouldn't give them an inch. Every time an Irishman got the ball, bang!, they were on him. And they kept it up from start to finish. It's the running movements that make rugby such an entertaining sport to watch, but just as in cricket they say 'catches win matches', rugby is very often decided by the tackling. And England were, to use the term so popular with today's commentators, 'immense'. 'way the lads! England Wales is shaping up to be a cracker!

Has anyone got a score right yet?

I don't think so. In hindsight that was possibly a daft idea, @GrumpyGregry's idea of predicting the spread was probably better, but felt far too American a style of prediction for my tastes.

@Brandane - Yep. You called it right so the four points are yours, same for anyone else.

You can stick your Wilko drop kick up yer erse by the way. I think the last time I remember seeing us attempt a drop kick was when Dan 'I concentrate more on my sideburns than my technique' Parks was playing. Unsurprisingly, he missed.
Too many technical errors by England in the first 30 mins.

What a game! Full backs were brill. Farroll's first kick was great.

Brian Moore's a great commentator. (imo)
I cannot stand Brian Moore. His borderline racist rantings are hugely irritating.
He's brilliant! I remember when the Welsh beat the English one time in Cardiff and he gave the man of the match award to an Englishman! Hahahaha!

Have I mentioned he's a member of my rugby club, and that his daughter played minis and junior rugby with my youngest son!

I also remember him beating up the French in Paris.

Cliché but as a person at the bar or on the touchline he's just so nice and unassuming.
If you're English I can completely understand your crush on him.

He does make good points, and clearly knows what he's talking about, I just hate his manner. And that he assumes England are the greatest team on the planet.

That said, I'd happily go for a beverage with him. I reckon he'd take my criticisms on board and then pretend to punch me in the face. Or actually do it, for which I couldn't blame him.
