In fairness I should have known better than to post that on a rugby thread, in a cycling forum. Two groups of people who do have something of a tendency to take life, and themselves, a little more seriously than is healthy. IMHO, of course. If admin want to delete my misplaced humour, feel free.....

Sorry. I wasn't laughing at your predictions particularly.

It's just that whenever anyone predicts Scotland to win at either rugby or football, it generally ends in tears.

"We're on the march, we're Ally's Army" etc. etc.

That’s the thing with the jocks. They can play really well but then in a major tournament can go to ratsh1t ..

It’s not offensive ..

And if England did indeed have some flair rather than just grinding a win from enforced penalties ... that’s where some of the laws suck ... and the application by the referee .

It's not the arrogance of the English that grate with me, it's the insistence of some to keep referring to the people of Scotland as jocks.

Whereas in 2015's OP I seemed to take a non-committal approach :

A thread where fun can be poked at the Scotland team.

The tournament gets underway on Friday 6th February, with England travelling to Cardiff to take on the Welsh, with a 8.05pm KO.

The other fixtures in the first weekend take place on Saturday 7th, with Ireland in Rome to play Italy, and the mighty Jock warriors travelling over to Paris to put the French to shame.

Hopefully it'll be a good tournament.

This appears to be the first year for a wee while that I haven't been the 6 Nations thread OP, so maybe we'll have a change of luck...
