I was restoring a late 80's Europa road bike for a mate- it was rough and a few parts needed replacing so I bought this 1988 Repco Olympic 12 as a donor bike (it has an identical Shimano Exage groupset).
The Europa ended up being rougher than I realised- I showed him the donor bike and he liked it so much he asked me to restore it instead.

I stripped it down to a bare frame and everything got a thorough clean and polish.
The Europa's bars were transferred over with new bar tape and new brake levers that I had spare.
New tyres and tubes, new cables and it's good to go.
If it was a bigger frame he'd have to fight me for it- it turned out better than expected.
