1st leg of my 2 day ride from Birmingham to South Devon. I'd gone down the west side of the Severn so as to cross the bridge back into England (just cos I fancied it). Coming up the hill from the bridge to Cribbs Causeway I just folded. Nothing left. Nothing. I stretched, massaged, might have eaten something (can't remember!), got back on and somehow got myself to my planned stop just by the Clifton suspension bridge. Computer stopped at 99 miles. Frankly at that stage I didn't care. Having a hot bath seemed more important than some 100 mile thing. And now . . . how I wish I'd been thinking straight and done the extra mile! I'll have to have find an excuse to have another go...
