A bit confused

I was a bit confused as to why the driver chose to flash through a pinch point. I had an Audi driver toot me when I waved him through on a country road earlier on, but was wondering if this was meant to be friendly.
I didnt understand it at first and just ignored it. If I had been able to catch up to him I would have just asked him why he chose to flash. He didnt show any signs of agression when I looked in the car.

Was his action meant to be intimidating, or just to let me know he was there?

That doesn't look like a flash, more a 'oh shoot i turned on the full beams, how do i turn them off?'

Possibly. Or he may have thought that the car on the opposite side of the road had their full beam on and was trying to tell them.

That looked like a flash I'm behind you and you shouldn't be holding me up kind of flash to me, but it's equally possible it's one of the other reasons mentioned above.

If you compare the glare from the first oncoming car with that from the second, the first car's lights do look blinding, so I think it was a "dip 'em you muppet" flash to the oncoming car.

Yep, oncoming car seemed to have full beam, he was trying to tell them to dip them I think.
