It appears that there is a Shrewsbury connection to the forthcoming Judge Dredd movie. Link

This movie looks to be more like the film the fans were hoping for (and were disappointed not to get) when the Stallone version came out.

A mate of mine worked as an extra on the Stallone version and he was also an extra in Goldeneye. He said that Pierce Brosnan was great to talk to and generously gave everyone an autographed photo when the shoot was over (it was the tank chase sequence). By contrast, Mr Stallone remained in his trailer most of the time on Dredd and was very aloof with people.
