Yep, remember that day, listening on the radio. No TV coverage in those days.
It was a good/bad year for cycling in 1967.

It is a great shame that so little film footage remains of cycling before the eighties, and virtually nothing of the vibrant home professional scene that lasted from the sixties to the early nineties.

I've never heard of any of the names mentioned so far.

But then I hadn't heard of Froome until very recently (like 4 years or so).

I don't really "follow" cycling...I just do it.

BB maybe synonymous Beryl Burton and everybody has heard of her, at least they have now. But there were a couple of other BB's I can recall
- The BB that won the Milk Race twice and lots of other events - Bill Bradley
- The 25 miler BB - Bas Breedon that held comp record for a while, just before DD took over.
