Does anyone know of a good freeware cd/dvd burning programme that runs on XP and Vista? I've tried CDBurnerXP and have also been trying Imgburn, but the latter stops with an error saying my directory is too deep (greater than 8 steps).

Is there anything that just works without fuss?

I use Nero. Was on lap-top when I bought it, but I guess it is not free?

Fly DVD copier always works for me and removes any region restriction

Try moving your image to say c:Temp rather than in a deeper directory - the software will work then. I use Nero as well - blooming good it is as well.....

Just been having probs with Nero 7 and downloaded "express rip" and express burn". They're both extremely easy to use and very quick - and free.
    Hope this helps

Thanks everyone - I'll give each of these a try over the next few days.

Update - thanks esp to fossyant: changing the dir structure in Imgburn to use a temp location worked. I only need it for data backup, but it seems fine for my needs.
