It's pretty much always grey (and often rainy) in Amsterdam

Well that was a long day. Out at 6, back at 7. All rather uneventful, busy flight out, quiet back. Amsterdam was pretty quiet, we went off the beaten track anyway and avoided the main drag down Damrac until the end of the afternoon. Anne Frank was shut, likewise all the other museums dueto the Covid-19 issues, but we did pancakes (yum yum and more filling than I thought), walked the 9 Streets which was good with some novel shops.
Really nice way to spend the day, and it was sunny and warm too.
