That's a really pretty bike - love the satin-metallic finish. Definitely lose the reflectors and pie-dish though!

What fantastic looking bike and great colour. Just looking at it makes me want to ride a bike so I'm sure you will be clocking up lots of miles on that. I also think it will not look bad even when mucky so you won't be wasting time cleaning and polishing when you could be out riding

Just my opinion but I would leave the dork disc on behind the cassette. Two reasons, one being that it isn't an easy job for everyone to take it off and secondly, if it is secure and not doing any harm then it can actually save the spokes from being cut by the chain if it ever over shoots the top of the cassette.

I've made my thoughts on this bike clear on Facebook. :-)

I know it is all weather dependant at this time of year, but if you can get out on a regular basis, you will see surprisingly good results in a pretty short time. Don't push it too hard, not at this stage, wait until spring to 'leave it all on the road'.

As for comments elsewhere about lycra. I always wear bib shorts, but on my mtb's I wear Ron Hill Tracksters over the top, as it saves the dog walkers from being stunned by the colour of my Lilly white legs.
