Dayvo - thanks I talked to a cyclist who was coming from - he wasn't that impressed - sort of gave me a bad impression of the place

If you're in/near Oslo, pop in:

There'll be a bed (or floor), a shower, washing machine and kitchen at your disposal! ;)

That's a kind offer but unfortunately I won't be going near there. Maybe another time though. ;)

Anthony here's another link of a couple that cycled the lengh of Norway in 2007. Also has some great information and very nice pictures of what to expect. I hope you have as much luck with the weather.

Thanks xilios, their journal looks amazing. Gives me a bit more hope about the weather.

The rules on wild camping ("every man's right") are reasonably simple. Not too close to someone's house, not in a fenced/crop area, no fires on bare rock, leave endangered species alone, clean up, and 24 hrs only in one spot.

Just had a look now. What a good site. There are a few closed tunnels on my route but I can go round them or detour slightly. So finger crossed I should be ok.

Glad you liked the tunnel map and found it useful in planning your tour. It makes all the hard work in putting it together seem worthwhile. If you do pass through any open ones on your route that are not marked on our map, perhaps you could spare a moment to note the details and perhaps take a picky and let us know so we can add them to the map.

Have a great trip and enjoy yourself

If I pass through any unknown ones I will let you know. Great site by the way.

love that Norway blog, what amazing pictures, smells like a lot of hills though and they seem to get wet a lot

Well, i've just booked my flights. I'm leaving for Bergen on the 27th of July and returning from Tromso on the 28th of August. I've settled for finishing at Norkapp because it just seems a better finish. I'll just put up with the bad weather or snow if it occurs, which i'm sure it will.

Also a question for Dayvo, or anyone else who might know. I am flying with Norwegian, but they don't have an online bike reservation option. I guess I will just have to phone them up to do it?
