I dont know if this has been mentioned before but it is a book I have just read which was funny and informative.

Mud, Sweat and Gears by Ellie Bennett, ISBN 978-1-84953-220-4. £8.99

I bought mine on Amazon.UK for a couple of pound.

Ellie and Mick are both Real ale fans and not really cyclists. The book tells of their Lejog journey and a bit more. They stop at a lot of Real ale pubs, campsites, hotels and hostels on the way and list the good beers and good pubs in the back of the book.

A really good read, written with humor.

Lots of Journals at www.cycle-endtoend.org.uk - and reviews on a few published E2E books too

I enjoyed Ellie's book ... although a few bits seemed to be either wrong or out of sequence.

I'm baseing my LEJoG next April on it - with a few detours on the way up.
:girldance: I'd like to know peoples views on which direction to ride ... I'm trying to stick with the South to North route, but I'm having verbal differances of opinions - in a nice way. I live in Plymouth, so leaving Scotland would be like cycling home if I do the Southern route:sun:
