I dont know if this has been mentioned before but it is a book I have just read which was funny and informative.
Mud, Sweat and Gears by Ellie Bennett, ISBN 978-1-84953-220-4. £8.99
I bought mine on Amazon.UK for a couple of pound.
Ellie and Mick are both Real ale fans and not really cyclists. The book tells of their Lejog journey and a bit more. They stop at a lot of Real ale pubs, campsites, hotels and hostels on the way and list the good beers and good pubs in the back of the book.
A really good read, written with humor.

I'd like to know peoples views on which direction to ride ... I'm trying to stick with the South to North route, but I'm having verbal differances of opinions - in a nice way. I live in Plymouth, so leaving Scotland would be like cycling home if I do the Southern route
