He used to be active on here.
I read his blog and found it very inspiring.
He broke a lot of the "rules" in terms of experience and weight but but ride his own tour. He was also quite honest about the loneliness of the long term cycle tourer.
He had a lot of problems with his bike in France due to incompatibility of his Rohlhoff hub and frame and had to return for a while before starting again.
He did stop his tour to return to the UK and his website started promoting a diet or nutritional supplement or something like that.
He's been active on Facebook touring groups recently as well, presumably begining to promote the book.

If he keeps the honesty of his blog it should be a good read.

A 350 pound hod carrier decides to go cycle touring with no experience, a set of trawlermans waterproofs and no plan of where to go.
That's 25 stone for anybody in the UK :smile:
