Here for rides.
A half decent TV programme about Hannibal rather spoilt by the gimmick of the cycle touring element imo. Be honest touring doesn't make for the most fascinating TV footage.

I enjoyed it.
I don't think the presenter are that bad as they just normal blokes and don't do it for a living. Just image you trying to present your tour, how good a job could you do???
They are all so doing the miles and not just pretending. They are doing what some of us would love to do and that is getting paid for touring or having there touring paid for.
Gets a thumbs up from me.

A good example of how an interesting programme idea fails by using poor presenters
most such programmes use "presenters" that they then kit out with a bike, and they cycle about 10 miles and bleat on about how tough it was

Absolutley, at least it was "normal blokes", thank god it wasnt Ben Fogle or Julia Bradbury hamming it up.
I watched last nights episode, great to see Hewitt bikes on TV!
However, their panniers looked suspiciously empty and they certainly weren't carrying their own camping kit - i must remember to take a TV crew in a van next time I go. They over-egged the "crossing" of the Pyrenees, they took the low level coastal route!!
They're riding up Le Ventoux next week which should be interesting. I didnt realise Hannibal took his Nellies up there^_^

There's a thread on this tv programme over on the CTC forum dating back to when it was first shown in July 2010, one of the brothers who made the programme posted on the thread with some answers and comments about the various issues raised, e.g. the mysterious varying panniers.

Yes, we noticed the very empty panniers and my other half commented on the badly erected and almost empty tents. Apart of that good to see a programme on cycle touring
