She was hardly held up as well. I had a similar encounter today where someone wanted me to cycle on the left so they could get a few meters in front!

It's OK addict, the baby is super safe inside the 4x4 hedgehog. That's why she bought it I'm sure.

The worst part of that for me, is the fact that there appears to be a baby in the front passenger seat and she is driving like a moron!

Don't you know? That means everyone else has to drive carefully around them, not the other way around. Just forgot the "Baby on Board" sticker to instruct everyone.

It looks like the baby is in a rear facing child seat in the front - which, I believe, is illegal (since the airbags will cause serious injury if they are deployed).

The police take a very dim view of people not correctly securing their children in cars.

If the airbag was turned on.

It's a PITA with these types and it's easier to say wih hindsight, but this person is clearly of low intelligence and isn't worth wasting a breath on.

Slightly off-topic.
I saw a minibus the other day with one of those yellow diamonds stuck in the rear window, it said: Who cares who's on board? It made me smile at any rate, as whoever might be on board shouldn't affect your driving at any rate.

Not too sure if it is illegal. Maybe one of our Police members can tell us.

But in many newer vehicles it is possible to isolate the passenger airbag. And on the really clever cars, airbag censors can detect if anyone is in the seat by weight etc and automatically either stop the airbag from deploying or reduce the force of the deployment.

I used to be very scornful of those baby on board signs, but I do believe they have some small effect on other drivers. Now I have one myself.

I think it's a little bit like telling cyclists to look back at junctions, so the driver(s) behind see your face and treat you a little bit more like a human being.
