He would still have parked in the same place though. And I'm not sure why the other way would be "the right way", there aren't any No entry signs there, it is obviously a road which can be used in that direction until you get to the point where it turns left.
In the picture there's a 3' X 4' sign, clearly visible, on the junction.

"No through Route" does NOT mean the same as "No Entry". Nor does the Dead End blue sign.
It is perfectly legal and acceptable to enter that road from that point in that direction. It would be perfectly normal to do so if heading to one of the car parks a couple of hundred yards down the road.

You can see the entrance to one of those car parks through the gap between the van and the building in your 2nd photgraph, so the roadworks blocking the road are clearly further down than that.

You mean this private car park? Hotel use only. As the sign shows.

Which he's parked outside of, on the pavement.

No, I mean this car park. The van in your photos is parked on the right, just before the T junction.

But it really doesn't matter which car park - or whether it is for the use of hotel residents only, the simple fact is that the road is two-way until you get down to the bottom.

You are allowed to enter the road from Cripplegate on that junction.

And while it may be anti-social parking on the pavement, he is not doing anything illegal, since he is unloading, and there are no vertical yellow bars on the kerb to indicate no loading/unloading.

And there's currently roadworks, hence the temporary signage.
View attachment 825633 You are viewing the council carpark, for the building in your second picture. Not the one you say is visible in the photo.

All irrelevant.
You can still perfectly validly enter that road from Cripplegate, which is all that matters.

Although I'm right about the car park, but it really doesn't matter.
You're right on neither point. The road is, as I said one way only due to roadworks. Advantage of taking the actual picture, and not relying on streetview, and knowing what's going on round there.
The carpark entrance you pointed out has the same sign I showed the close-up of. The other is private, for the users of the building on the right in the second picture. Green Gates, not the yellow barrier you claim is correct. That's a separate carpark. Note the telegraph pole on the left of the entrance is not a street light on the right of the entrance.

As for entering the wrong way, a one way system in use at present, due to the roadworks mentioned above.

None of this excuses the driver taking up over half of the pavement.

It really doesn't matter about the car parks, but the one I showed is the opposite side of the road to the one you showed the close up of, and is a pay and display, not a hotel residents one.

There are no signs visible in your photographs suggesting it might be one way.

As I have already said twice, "No Through Road" does NOT mean the same as "No Entry".

In fact if it was one way there, there wouldn't be "No through road" signs, there would be "no entry" signs.

Agreed, though understandable if he is loading/unloading heavy jukeboxes.

No signs other than the one straight in front of me in the picture, true. They were on Cripplegate and King Street. Showing no left turn downhill, no right turn uphill.

From the picture taken, close up of the sign posted earlier.

StreetView showing both carpark entrances. Note the location of the sign for the hotel carpark.

That is the first time you have mentioned those, presumably there specifically because of the roadworks, since you are certainly normally allowed to turn in there.
In which case, I am surprised that the yellow sign in the photos says "No Through Road", rather than "No entry", or "Road closed" with a diversion disgn..

I have no idea why you keep on about the irrelevant car parks.

Roadworks were mentioned in the post along with the photos of the van on the pavement. You seem to have missed that bit.
I took two pictures of the junction of one road, with the other two roads I've mentioned. Even one taken from Mulcture Hall Road, looking towards the Parish Church, the signs you want to see would be visible.
I suspect that given it's a one way system in use, diversions are in place, and there are council offices in the building is why the road isn't closed.

As regards the carparks, it was yourself that disputed the carpark in question remember.
Go back to streetview and check what is on the opposite side of the road to those green gates, not further along the road. You've claimed what you posted is there. The picture you posted doesn't bear that out.
There's also at least a three year difference between what streetview is showing you and what it's like when those pictures were taken by me.

No, I fully understood that there were roadworks. But there was no indication from the signs visible in the photos that it was no entry due to them.

There are no "No entry" signs in the photos you put here, nor are the "no left turn" or "No right turn" signs visible in those photos, or mentioned by you prior to your last post.

I suspect that given it's a one way system in use, diversions are in place, and there are council offices in the building is why the road isn't closed.
Probably.

I only mentioned the car parks in the first place in passing as a reason why people might be going down that road in that direction. I don't care in the slightest whether they are council car parks, hotel car parks or anything else.

That blue van isn't blue it's white.
IMG_20261103_124210~2.jpg

Parked outside the entrance to the school on the right. The sign in front of the van is on the top side of the entrance.
He wanted the building site to the left, entrances further down, or further up.
