No Reason why not, but if the weather is good enough to be outside to be on a turbo, then why use a turbo outside in the first place, unless your just warming up for an event.

What's wrong with it being wet? It isn't the nicest experience getting soaked, but it was necessary warming up for the National Hillclimb - didn't feel any different.

I use mine on the patio and on the odd occasion when it's started to rain the rear tyre starts slipping
