Porridge is a waste of potential flapjack IMHO.

My dear lady wife is addicted to detective series although she is quite sane in most other respects.
I am presently vicariously watching the miserable Swede as we speak, so to speak:wacko:
I feel like shaking Kenneth by the shoulders and telling him to cheer up, FFS.

Ha - cock up on the posting front - just ignore me!

Maybe he can't solve the mystery of where his Golden Syrup is.

Bollix wrong thread!!!;)

Don't have syrup but like brown sugar. I often chuck in some raisins and if I can be bothered chop up an apple too.

I can't stand it when people put cold milk over the top of porridge, it looks like invalid food. Just put a dash of milk to the porridge and water mixture, cook it slowly in the microwave then just add the brown sugar. If I feel thin enough to stand it and I have some cream left over, add just a little before adding sugar. (don't do that too much though as I don't buy cream often)

I put a drop of single cream and a bit of white sugar on mine this morning. Great.

I normally just have a bit of salt on it to be honest as I'm a bit of a porker after giving up the fags , the kids both like syrup, but the best, the ultimate, has just got to be sweet condensed milk!

I've turned to weetabix in the mornings. Far easier, quicker and less messy than porridge. I do like my porridge I'm just a bit lazy to allow enough time for it.
