Amongst all the tales of heartbreak on here I thought I would post a message of hope. My wife had her Bianchi road bike stolen a few years ago. Some local scum had stolen some kind of cutter from a fire engine, we were told by the police. The following sunday I suggested we jump on the motorbike and take a tour along Brick Lane (well known local selling spot for hot bikes). And lo and behold! The criminal mastermind was there trying to sell it. We got him arrested and got the bike back. He probably got counseling and a trip to alton towers for his troubles, but it did feel good.

Seems to be where most of the stolen bikes in London turn up, how long before the Police actually start doing anything about it?
But the scum do end up getting caught and it looks like some of the plod are taking notice of the online activity of the thieves.
