A thousand members

We've now got 973 members. What is going to happen with the 1000th member - will he or she get some special T-shirt?

There is a discrepancy. The statistics at the foot of the home page shows (at time of writing)

Threads: 2,186, Posts: 39,475, Members: 973

But the Members List display shows

Any reason, and which is the true figure?

My guess would be that the higher figure is for the total number of registrations, whereas the lower is the actual number of members. Before the move to the new software there were lots of spam accounts that got banned - but it wouldn't surprise me if they are still on the database, hence the discrepancy.

Could be wrong though. I'm sure Shaun will be along with the answer in a minute.

Edit: Still, either way, the forum is doing well.

Difficult to get an hole in one if it's 1000 yards (or metres) from tee to green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
