A visit from the p*-fairy's much richer cousin

Hired a car this weekend to get to a wedding in the middle of nowhere.

Unpacking the tons of baby kit that three kids under 4 seem to need I can hear a hissing noise from the rear. A screw right through the tyre... unrepairable... two hours of twatting about with hire company/warranty support (the car had done < 1000 miles) and then the visit to KwikFit.



ONE HUNDRED and EIGHTY SEVEN POUNDS for a tyre change!



Weeping now at how much bike stuff I could have got for that.

Bugger! Kwik Fit tried to charge me £300 for full brake replacement, checked with my usual garage who said there was at least another 5000miles in them! absolute crooks!

I had six punctures over the weekend,it's a bloody disgrace.
