So I needed a new cassette = new chain, have a pair of 10 spd shifters in shed so I decide to 'upgrade' to 10 speed.
In view of this I have left my handlebar untaped for weeks waiting till all the parts were ready.
The cassette and chain arrived yesterday.
Today, up early and got the bike up on the workstand, wash it down. Laid out all the tools. Got ready the shifters, cassette, new cables, new bar tape etc etc.
I had bought the chain from a member on another forum, advertised as:
SRAM PC-1050
I gave it a quick wipe, ready to start work....

A NINE SPEED CHAIN!!! I have loads of 9 speed chains!!!!!!
AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! weekend is broken.
