Accommodation north of Oxford?

Looking for a place for a 2 night stay north of Oxford area..
nothing too fancy but 3 or 4 star would be ideal.
we dont want to stay in Oxford but want to spend 1 day 5here then another day in the area having a nosey

We used to do a lot of hotels around the country, we now use Premier Inn most of the time and always get a good nights sleep.

North , i dont want Oxford for a base as its crap for cars..
Its 80 miles from peterborough so 5 to 20 miles north from Oxford would be ideal.

Hotel or do you do B&Bs? I have a brother in Kidlington, around there and Woodstock (Blenheim Palace) is nice. On the bus route into Oxford but also convenient for the Coswolds and Cotswold Wildlife Park

Sorry, there is no accommodation worth the name north of Oxford!

http://www.whittleburyhall.co.uk is good 4* hotel although it's about 35 miles north of Oxford, so might be a bit far for you?

You could always stay in Kidlington and find out why bus loads of Chinese tourists are flocking there, much to the bemusement if its residents.
