Has anyone made a claim against their banks for mis sold account fees? I keep getting e-mails about it as I pay a fee for my bank account.

I don't think it applies to account fees for services such as insurance. but payment protection on loans and credit cards

If you think you've been stiffed, contact your bank directly. Don't use a third party cold call shark

working for a company in this sort of field (no we dont cold call) this is expected to be the next big banking scandal and is being picked up by all the companies coming to the end of the payment protection gravy train

I got pursuaded to sign up for one for a fiver a month. It was totally against my instincts but some aspects made sense. Then I found I'd been put down for twenty notes a month to include various random bollocks such as useless holiday insurance - useless to me as it didn't cover scuba diving below 30m nor hillwalking or 50% of my trips. Cancelled the whole thing so a lucky escape really as the points mean prizes thing of the fiver version would have doubtless been more hassle than ot was worth.

Oh great, another 3 calls a day on top of the other ones then. Yet more chances to hear a bored northerner or Welsh telling me that at some point I had an accident, or a loan... or now, a bank account.

Santander may be making a claim against me. They sold me a 123 Lite account with fees at £1 a month while my various direct debit cash backs earn me £5 per month.
