Just returned from a 300 km tour of Tatras mountains in Poland and now my achilles area above the heel has gone very sore and i can hardly walk..Please does anyone have any tips on how to get some relief without seeing a physio?

Ice, ibuprofen, light strapping, rest, elevation.

But going to a physio might be best - after all, who'd rely on the internet for their health?

Don't try to ride through it if it happens again. As twentyinch says, ice relieves the pain but rest and lots of it is the only thing you can do. In the worst cases it can take months to get better . I really hope that yours isnt one of those cases. Good luck
