Acycles - Buyers Beware!

Yet another company /business purporting to be a UK seller when actually based in another country.

No easy way of finding out who they are either.

The "contact us" page with no address/phone number is a bit of a give-away, perhaps even an alarm bell? It wouldn't be the first time I've dug down into the T&C page, and "street-viewed" the address.

Best yet turned out to be a rundown semi, up a cul de sac, basically just over the fence from Jersey (?) airport - not what the website suggested of the company!

Used Acycles numerous times with no trouble, once for a pair of wheels in the 1000 region.

A quick search reveals stories about wiggle/crc/pbk/planetx etc etc, luck of the draw

Sorry you had an such poor service, and thanks for sharing. But make sure this doesn't colour your memory of your lejog.

How was it?

No, thankfully I did not let it affect my lejog experience. It was a great experience and I would encourage anyone who likes cycling to do it themselves. The hardest part probably was the train journey back home as you just wanted to get home ASAP and get a good night's sleep!
