Blimey, it is very good at it... 'intravenous' found in a photo of a crumpled Metro page!

I've just tried searching for "sandwich" as well. One pic was of a story my niece did age 5 (with bad children's handwriting) which it has picked up. The other was this trip out where the menu is on the wall behind. Amazing but also worrying!

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Foiled it! This is a detail of a picture showing my friend's "Girls can do anything" socks. (Taken at the finish of a half-ironman - so there's some truth in it), Anyway, it failed to search on "girls"

I am getting a bit addicted to this image search testing thing...

I looked at a photo that I had taken of rolling Devon hills. I noticed that I had just caught the edge of a sign with the word 'FARMHOUSE' on it, but the 'F' was half obscured by a leaf. I wondered if the search software would be able to cope with that... No - it did not find that photo, but it did find another one that I had taken on a cafe stop. On close examination of that photo I spotted the word on a menu in the background. I did another search, this time for 'armhouse' and that did then find the Devon picture.

A local live music venue has recently closed down. The owner is selling some of its equipment on ebay. I had a look at his other items and they include a butt-plug with a fox's tail on the end. He must be a furry.

Before learning this new life changing method, I’d always peeled a kiwi fruit with a sharp knife…now I’m using a spoon.

Screenshot 2025-10-07 22.47.27.png
To spoon the kiwi:

`Insert the spoon just beneath the skin on the cut end, with the cupped side facing the fruit.
`Push the spoon under the skin towards the other end of the kiwi.
`Sweep your spoon around the fruit just beneath the skin until you come full circle.

NOTE: If you just plan on eating it yourself you can just eat it by the spoonful straight out of the peel, using the skin as a natural "cup" then throw away the peel when you are done. It's a fast, mess free snack.

Well - that's another thing I have learned today

just off to edit some of my search history!!!

ColinJ discovers useful features on phone, part 2:

Scheduled text message sending! I found that option in the messaging app on my phone.

Some people turn off notifications on their phones while they are sleeping but some don't. I tend to go to bed very late and get up late so it is often too late for me to contact someone at night (for fear of waking them up) but too early for me the next morning (because I would have to wake up after only 3 or 4 hours sleep to do it).

A recent example was a mate who had texted me in the evening to see if I wanted to do a ride with him, starting at 10:00 next day. The problem was that it was about 02:00 when I read the message and I hadn't even gone to bed yet. I composed a reply that it was too early for me at such short notice, but scheduled it to be sent at 08:00 when he would be up and I would still be asleep.

Very handy.
