Hi,

I could do with a bit of advice - I own a C'dale CAADX Disc Ultegra. It's currently got a couple of Schwalbe Sammy Slicks (700×35c) on there.

I've been riding pretty much only on roads recently and have signed up to a few road sportives. I was thinking of sticking some road wheels on my bike, but my question is: is it possible? Will road wheels fit on my bike? Are there other considerations to take into account e.g. cassettes / gear ratios etc? Any recommendations if it's possible?

Or am I limited to just changing tyres over to slicks? Again - any recommendations? What tyre size am I limited to / should I be using?

Apologies if this is in the wrong place / I'm covering ancient ground. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Sure it's possible but depends on inner rim width. 28 mm tyre would work for sure.
