I've just purchased an e-bike for commuting around London and want to sell my old Trek road bike. It has some decent components, it's from around 2007 and I think some of the quality of the parts was better value then than now. I'm not sure how to price it...maybe it's a better idea to sell the best components separately ? It is a Trek 2300 — 56cm, with Shimano Ultegra / 105 10-Speed and Mavic Ksyrium Elite Wheels.

The important specs:
  • Ksyrium Elite wheelset (with the near-new GP 4-Seasons)
  • STI shifters
  • Ultegra callipers pair
  • Ultegra rear mech & front mech
  • 105 compact chainset
  • Specialized saddle, very new
  • Bontrager Race carbon post
  • 105 pedals (scuffed)
  • Ritchey stem , carbon cage
  • Frame + OCLV fork + headset
Not really knowledgeable enough to know how to price. I guess I could take it to a good bike shop that sells second hand bikes but obviously they want to make their mark up so will not offer me a good deal, would prefer to sell privately. Would be interested in hearing from the knowledgeable bike nerds as to what they think? I'm wondering if the advent of e-bikes has reduced the value of the old skool bikes or not...

Couple of hundred quid max. I don't think anyone would be particularly interested in those parts - none of them are rare/top of the range. Have a look on ebay and see what similar bikes have sold for recently.
