We went into the Skoda garage in Fareham intending to buy a Superb and wanting a test drive. The salesman would not talk to my wife and addressed me throughout. We cancelled the test drive - sexist tw*t lost a sale.

I like to tease mine by suggesting that when my vast CRT Sony Trinitron, which she finds 'embarrassing', dies, I'll buy another!

I have mentioned this before but we gave away our massive CRT Sony TV and the folks we gave it then had their car stolen with the telly still in it, they got the car back and the TV was still in it. And they'd shat in the car.

Not sure what VW shares the Superb platform other than the Chinese market Passat, the Octavia as we were told on our many training sessions shared the same platform from vehicles ranging from the Beetle and TT right up to the Golf and A.3.I am sure there is more than just bolting another body to the chassis but that's the marketing talk we got ^_^
I am out of the motor trade now and glad to see the back of it but many of my friends still endure the pain and tell me I did the right thing

Depends what you did in the motor trade, I still enjoy it.

Parts dept :hyper: Did 15 years inside  Made some amazing friends and had some good experiences with it but the long and sometimes unpaid hours took there toll so I went back to college and am now working in the great outdoors running a school farm and forest school :wahhey:

Bad customer service, try another dealer. When I worked in the dealers, you never judged anyone by their looks or gender because you will be 99% wrong ! Treat everyone the same and life will be good

Had a ride in a taxi one some years back and it was very nice and comfi. Similar to Audi A8. Not driven either. My boss had a newish A8 which he paid £10k or 15k for . Apparenlty it was a £70k car new so I hope the previous only liked it !

Well that sorts then. Just got to find the right deal.

Drivethedeal.com is worth a shot. I made massive saving on my Fabia with them, no dealer could come anywhere near their deal.

My fabia came from a main dealer, 4K on clock, 11 months old, about 6k (~30%) off new list (an ex Skoda management car), bit of a basic spec except where it counts (engine and gear box)

Excellent service from Willis in South Ruislip and no complaints on servicing from Allams in Epsom

Try Briskoda.net they have teamed up with a few dealers country wide and claim to be able to beat dtd in most cases. Good forum to ask any questions as well.

Agreed, BriSkoda is a good site, I'm on it

My Octavia, in its usual shade of unwashed
