Good to hear. Who was it dealt with your case?
It was Cycling UK's legal service, I was very satisfied with the outcome.

Yep, mine too, through Slater & Gordon
Back in 2015, I was hit nearly head on by someone who said he didn't see me because of the low sun, it was Slater & Gordon who dealt with that.
This latest accident was dealt with by Fletchers.
I don't know if they use multiple legal teams, or if they have just switched who they use.

Don't ever get up. Lie there going, "I can't feel my legs, tell my kids I love them". Ambulance to hospital and let them cut your clothes off. Stay in the hospital until you get too bored. Get a specialist accident solicitor (household insurance will cover it) and they will help you tot it all up including the extra fags your missus smoked in casualty. It hardly ever goes to court. Fully emphasise the nature and extent of your injuries. Ham them up a bit. maybe a bit more. Never accept their first offer, let your solicitor drag it out for another few months. Go back to your GP a lot complaining about chronic pain. Takes about two years to get the money.

When I was knocked off I wasn't hurt beyond minor scratches and bruises, but if I had been I'd have been wanting proper legal advice.

The driver was fine at the roadside, but when I didn't get any response to the letter with the bill for repairs that I put through his door, I went back round to the house to find that he'd moved out, leaving the place empty, with a pile of unopened mail on the doormat. "They're nice people, they're not like that!" said the neighbour who seemed to think I was a mad axe murderer as she peered timidly through her door chain. When I checked the electoral roll at the council office, it turned out he'd given me a false name.

Eventually, the police reluctantly gave me his insurance details, and they paid up without quibble.

You don't need to do this you can just get a good solicitor, be honest and get what is fair. I won as the insurance company did not fancy taking on my good barrister and solicitor. They also had used a solicitor who was not quite as straight as he should have been and it worked against them a year later as he had a bad name by then. :okay:
